Privacy Policy

Effective 6 October 2026 · Applies to the NightBooth app for iOS and Android

NightBooth is made by GoodPaper Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what the app does with information, in plain terms. The short version: there is no account, we run no analytics, and your photos stay on your phone.

What the app does not collect

• No account, sign-up, email address, name or password — there is nothing to sign in to.
• No analytics, advertising identifiers, tracking or crash-reporting services.
• No location data.
• Your photos are never uploaded to us or anyone else.

Your photos

Frames you take are stored in the app's own private storage on your phone. If you have NightBooth Pro, clean copies are also added to a "NightBooth" album in your phone's photo library, using the permission you grant. The app never reads your other photos. Deleting the app deletes the frames held inside it; copies in your photo library stay.

Camera

The camera is used only to show the viewfinder and take your photo when you press the shutter. No video is recorded and no frames are sent anywhere.

Purchases (NightBooth Pro)

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play, who process the payment and hold your payment details — we never see them. To unlock Pro reliably across reinstalls and devices we use RevenueCat, a subscription service that receives: an anonymous identifier generated for your installation, the store's purchase receipt or token, your purchase and renewal history, and basic device information (platform, app version, country and locale). RevenueCat acts as our processor and does not sell this data. You can see your identifier in the app under ? → Account; it is not linked to your name or email.

Legal basis

Processing purchase data is necessary to perform the contract when you subscribe (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Everything else happens on your device and involves no personal data reaching us.

Retention

Photos: for as long as the app is installed, or until you delete them in the roll. Purchase records: kept by Apple/Google and RevenueCat for as long as needed to honour your subscription and meet accounting and legal obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what data we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to processing. Because we hold no account data, most requests are satisfied by deleting the app. For purchase records, contact us at the address below or manage your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

NightBooth is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's About tab.
